Initial Consultation
An initial 45-minute consultation with one of our Menoclinic menopause practitioners is required for a comprehensive assessment. This gives you the time and space to tell your story, and allows us to have a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history, current medications, and any specific concerns or expectations you may have. The menopause practitioner will advise on any necessary baseline blood tests, which will incur an additional cost.
All of our consultations will be strictly confidential and will take place either online or in person. Attending an in-person consultation allows us to be able to carry out certain examinations such as blood pressure testing, which can influence your treatment. If you do opt for a consultation or video call, we ask that you prepare the following pieces of info to help streamline the whole process:
– Blood pressure (this can be done at your local pharmacy or GP)
– Medical history
– Family history
– Height and weight
First Review
This meeting is a great chance to talk about how you’re feeling right now, including any improvements, changes in symptoms or ongoing worries. It is important to acknowledge that although the full effects of the treatment are still taking place, at this point you will have probably noticed some improvements.
Based on the evaluation, your medication dosage may need to be adjusted.
The initial review session lasts up to 20 minutes.

Follow-Up Consultation
A follow-up consultation with your menopause practitioner is very important, so we can assess the effectiveness of your treatment and make any necessary adjustments to your plan.
After your first review, we recommend regular reviews, ideally on a six-monthly basis and annually. During these reviews, the menopause practitioner will assess and fine-tune your medication as needed. This approach is intended to help you maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle, with ongoing adjustments made to meet your changing health needs.
Each follow-up appointment is a 15-minute session, giving us ample time to discuss your experiences, address any concerns, and fine-tune your plan as needed. If at any point you feel the need to speak with us sooner than scheduled, we encourage you to arrange an additional follow-up appointment. Your comfort, well-being, and satisfaction with your treatment plan are our top priorities at Menoclinic.
Medication for Menopause
As you are aware menopause treatment is unique to each patient and comes in a variety of forms. Menopause medication is not sold over the counter, therefore you will require a prescription.
If during the consultation our practitioner decides that medication is the best treatment option for you, they will create a prescription and send it to a GPhC Registered Pharmacy who will deliver it right to your door. That’s right, no more waiting in line at the pharmacy or making extra trips. Just a simple, hassle-free process that fits into your life as easily as a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon.

If we determine that medication is the best menopause treatment for you, we’ll get it conveniently delivered to your doorstep by a GPhC Registered Pharmacy
