I’m Naila, an independent prescribing pharmacist with a deep-rooted passion and over 25 years of experience in both community and digital pharmacy. Being a member of The British Menopause Society, I’m uniquely positioned to assess and prescribe effective treatments for menopause.

My journey in pharmacy has taught me the importance of evolving with the times. While the core principle of pharmacy – ensuring safe access to necessary medicines – remains unchanged, the role of a pharmacist has dramatically expanded. Now, we are clinicians, advisors, and, in my case, a pioneer in merging the convenience of technology with accessible menopause treatment.

Coming from a BAME background, I have a personal understanding of the cultural and societal barriers many women face in accessing menopause care. In the Asian community, regardless of your background, menopause is often a taboo subject. It’s seen as a phase of life to be endured in silence. This silence is evident in my own extended family in Pakistan, where despite going through menopause, none of my aunts ever sought HRT treatment or even discussed their experiences.

My mission with Menoclinic is to break down these barriers. I want to challenge the misconceptions surrounding HRT, particularly the fear that it invariably leads to cancer.

My approach is not just about prescribing treatment; it’s about forming a community. I aim to create a space where your cultural, religious, and traditional nuances are not just understood but are integral to your treatment plan. Menoclinic understands you, and we’re committed to helping you find the menopause treatment you rightly deserve.
